Country Handicrafts in Budapest

My husband and I try to explore new areas when we are out walking. This time we wandered back into one of the courtyards on Szt. Istvan, not far from the Margit Bridge. We were attracted by a display of handicrafts in one of the display cases out front.  Address: Szt. Istvan KRT. 24

We found the sweetest little shop. There were Russ bears and a few other factory-made items, but there were also hand-made stuffed bears and woodburned buttons, ornaments and small signs designed by the owner.

My husband liked the "Welcome" sign which literally says "God has brought you." I bought little angel buttons to represent my granddaughters. The buttons were 200 forint ($1) each and the small sign was 1300 forint ($6.50).

It's a good place to get souvenirs hand-crafted in Hungary by Hungarians.
