McDonald's McCafes

Nyugati McDonalds

I think McDonald's McCafes are great. They are located in some (not all) of the McDonalds in Budapest, and they serve good, reasonably priced coffee beverages and some really nice desserts. They don't serve on paper or plastic and their seating is usually plush and stylish.

Their cappuccinos, lattes, latte macchiatos, and iced coffees are a bargain, coming in two to three sizes the largest of which is usually never more than $3 depending on the exchange rate. The frappes are made with a mix, but all other beverages are brewed and you can order them caffeine free (koffein mentes).

At all MacDonalds you can order cappuccinos, lattes and flavored iced coffees for less than the McCafes and they taste great but cannot be ordered caffeine free and will be served in paper cups for about 25% cheaper than in their McCafe counterparts.

The picture at the right is taken in the McCafe in the Nyugati Station McDonald's. I think this is the most unique McDonald's in Budapest and worth a stop to look at the building even if you don't buy anything!
